What we offer at Roanoke-Salem Homeschool Academy

  • Provide Pre-K – 12th grade classes in a classroom setting
  • Offer academic and non-academic classes once a week on Mondays
  • Break the day up into 6 periods for flexible attendance
  • Give assignments during classroom time and may assign homework in some classes
  • Give grades for Middle and High School courses for transcript purposes
  • Enhance your child's education by providing an additional option for academic instruction
  • The responsibility of education still lies with you as the parent
  • Require families to notify their district of residence and not list Roanoke-Salem Homeschool Academy as their curriculum
  • Provide a supportive environment where students can be dropped off and parents are not required to teach
  • Believe in working together to provide the best possible educational experience

Since West Salem has NEVER CHARGED for the use of their facility (i.e. no rent, utilities, water, internet, or paper product fees; ONLY a nominal cleaning fee), there will be no facility or maintenance fees required. In order to respect your time and resources, we plan to offer regular lunches for a small charge with all proceeds going to West Salem Baptist Church as our love offering to them for such a generous gift.

Roanoke Salem Homeschool Academy is NOT a ministry of West Salem Baptist Church. While there is a close relationship between the leadership of both organizations, any statement from Roanoke Salem Homeschool Academy does not mean nor imply that West Salem Baptist endorses, agrees, or prescribes the view from RSHA leadership. The relationship between the two organizations is that of landlord (West Salem Baptist) and tenant (Roanoke Salem Homeschool Academy).
