US History: Eat Your Way thru American History (6th – 12th)

Eat Your Way Through American History brings the past to life for students in grades 6–12 through hands-on activities, creative projects, historical food experiences, and episodes from America: The Story of Us. Using A People’s History of the American Republic by Thomas S. Kidd and an accompanying workbook as a guide, students will explore the people, events, and ideas that shaped the United States from early exploration to modern times.

Through class discussions, primary source activities, multimedia learning, and foods inspired by different historical time periods, students will deepen their understanding of American history while building critical thinking skills and making meaningful connections between the past and present.
