TL;DR for Parents
- Track dates on your own calendar—don’t rely solely on the website.
- Read all communication from leadership and instructors.
- You're responsible for your student’s academic progress and state requirements.
- Label belongings; lost and found is behind the welcome table.
- Stay on-site if your child is under 13 or arrange supervision.
- Interact with grace—toward instructors, students, and fellow parents.
Parent Responsibilities
- Maintain your own calendar of important dates and deadlines.
- Read all emails, handouts, and class materials sent home.
- Regularly connect with instructors to monitor class expectations and student progress.
- Make sure your child is on time, prepared, and respectful.
- Label all items; check the lost and found behind the welcome table for missing belongings.
While On Campus
- Use the parent lounge as needed, but stay aware of your child’s location and needs.
- Parents of students under 13 must remain on campus or arrange a responsible adult or sibling (17+).
Academic Oversight
- Parents are fully responsible for their student’s academic progress and meeting homeschool requirements.
- The academy does not certify, guarantee, or ensure any academic proficiency, placement, or performance.
- Parents and students must adapt or supplement course content as needed for individual success.
- Submit your Notice of Intent and assessments to your local school district on time—this is your responsibility.
- High school course info may be collected by parents for transcript purposes.
Instructor Interactions
If concerns arise, respond with grace and a willingness to work together. Assume instructors are acting with your child’s best interest in mind.
“Walk in a manner worthy of the calling… with all humility and gentleness, with patience… eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”
— Ephesians 4:1-3
Interacting with Other Students
If correction is needed, do so kindly and loop in the child’s parents. We value both moms and dads—each brings essential support to our homeschool community.
