Join us as we journey into the world of the Iliad and the Odyssey, two of the most influential stories from the classical era. In this course, we will discover the themes, characters, and conflicts present throughout these epics and analyze them from a Christian perspective. We will explore timeless ideas such as war, heroism, and the complexity of the human experience as we dive into the story of Achilles’ rage and Odysseus’ long journey home.

Read and discuss the Iliad and the Odyssey, foundational works of Western literature that have shaped storytelling for generations.
- Christian Worldview Analysis:
Engage in thoughtful discussions about the moral questions, cultural values, and philosophical ideas present in Greek mythology and how they contrast with or point to biblical truths.
- Character and Theme Study:
Examine the motivations and inner struggles of iconic characters such as Achilles, Hector, and Odysseus, while exploring the deeper themes of fate, pride, vengeance, loyalty, and redemption.
