Middle School Art (5th-8th) Mondays OR Thursdays

The Middle School Art class for grades 5-8 is a vibrant exploration of various art forms and creative expression. In this course, students will delve into painting, drawing, and sculpture, learning both the practical techniques involved and the historical context of these art forms. This class encourages students to develop their own artistic styles and ideas through a combination of theoretical study and hands-on projects.

  • Diverse Art Techniques:
    Students will gain experience in different artistic mediums including painting, drawing, and sculpture, enhancing their skills and broadening their creative horizons.
  • Art History and Theory:
    Lessons on art history and theory provide students with a deeper understanding of the evolution of art and its cultural significance.
  • Creative Development:
    Through individual and group projects, students will explore and develop their own artistic styles and creative ideas, fostering personal growth and artistic expression.

This course is designed to nurture creativity and appreciation for the arts, offering students a comprehensive platform to express themselves and explore their artistic potential.

Since West Salem has NEVER CHARGED for the use of their facility (i.e. no rent, utilities, water, internet, or paper product fees; ONLY a nominal cleaning fee), there will be no facility or maintenance fees required. In order to respect your time and resources, we plan to offer regular lunches for a small charge with all proceeds going to West Salem Baptist Church as our love offering to them for such a generous gift.
