Yearbook (8th–12th)

In this creative, collaborative course, students will take full ownership of the school yearbook—planning, designing, photographing, writing, and editing content to create a lasting record of the academic year. Students will gain real-world experience in publishing, journalism, design, and photography, while working together as a team to meet deadlines and produce a professional final product.

Course Overview:

  • Planning & Project Management:
Students will outline the yearbook theme, sections, and layout while managing timelines and tasks as a team.
  • Writing & Journalism:
Capture memories through student-written articles, interviews, and caption writing.
  • Photography & Editing:
Develop photography skills by documenting events, candid moments, and posed portraits, with training in photo selection and editing.
  • Graphic Design:
Design pages using digital publishing tools, learning principles of layout, typography, and visual storytelling.
  • Collaboration:
Emphasize teamwork, communication, and leadership in a real-world creative environment.
