Masters in Education - TESOL, Instructional Designer, & Home Educator
It has been my passion to educate since my summer internship in Venezuela in 1999. In 2006, I achieved a Masters in Education in Teaching English to Students of Other Languages.
After spending 8 years teaching Spanish and ESL throughout NC, I started a NC Supplemental Education Services Provider for ESL students. A few years later, I started a 21st Century Community Learning Center after school program serving immigrant and refugee students in East Charlotte. Since the launch of those two programs, I have continued my professional endeavors by creating a world themed summer day camp experience called Charlotte Day Camp, worked with a rural NC school district as the ESL/Migrant Education Program(s) Coordinator, created international curriculum and assessments and directed a post-secondary ESL Program.
Today, I am a full time homeschool mom of 4 kids. My background in education and program management has equipped me to tackle the challenges of day to day homeschool routines, customized instruction and assessment.
