2. Terms of Agreement: Membership in this group is not an endorsement as to any member’s character or credibility. Each member shall assume personal responsibility for any association or involvement with other members or families of members in this group. Registration fees, cleaning fees, and deposits are refundable at the discretion of the administration of Roanoke Salem Homeschool Academy.
3. Hold Harmless Clause: Participant(s), including participant’s spouse, children and family members, does hereby hold harmless, remise, release, and forever discharge, and does, for itself, its children, ward(s), family members and or its successors and assigns, remise, release, acquit, satisfy and forever hold harmless said homeschool group, hereinafter referred to as "group", its successors and assigns, of and from all manner of action and actions, cause and causes of action, suits, debts, dues, sums of money, accounts, reckonings, bonds, bills, specialties, covenants, contracts, controversies, agreements, promises, variances, trespasses, damages, judgments, executions, claims and demands whatsoever, in law, or in equity, with reference to any and all claims or causes of action whatsoever arising out of participant(s) participating in any group activity, event or situation, whether said activity, event or situation is or is not sponsored by the group or otherwise advertised or not advertised by the group for the benefit of group members. We agree to the Terms & Hold Harmless Clause - By selecting "I AGREE, you certify that all primary custodial legal guardians have read and agree to abide by the Terms of Agreement and the Hold Harmless Clause as written above. By selecting "I AGREE, you are aware that these terms, agreements, and statements may be updated at any time without notice.
4. Participation: Our children may participate in group activities and programs - By selecting "I AGREE, you certify that you are the legal parents and/or guardians of the children listed in our Profile and do hereby consent to all terms and conditions of this group on behalf of said listed children. We authorize the listed children to participate in the group programs and or activities, whether sponsored or advertised, without further signature, release or authorization, unless required by the group.
5. Media and Photo Usage Permission: Our family may be photographed and audio/video recorded - As a participant in group events and activities the members of your family, including your minor children, may be photographed and audio/video recorded. By selecting "I AGREE gives the group permission from both husband and wife to use these captured images for promotional purposes, including press releases and newspaper articles, on social media and online photo storage sites, on our website, in our yearbook, and elsewhere, without further signature, release or authorization and without compensation or rights of ownership or royalties.
6. Communications: By selecting "I AGREE, you are consenting to receive text and email communications from Roanoke-Salem Homeschool Academy for updates, announcements, and other communications. You may opt out at any time.
7. Parent Interview: New families are required to participate in a new membership registration interview so you can get to know our group and we can get to know you.
8. Affiliation: By selecting "I AGREE, you are aware that Roanoke-Salem Homeschool Academy is not affiliated nor a subsidiary of West Salem Baptist Church.
9. Special Accommodations: By selecting "I AGREE, you agree that neither Roanoke-Salem Homeschool Academy, nor its staff, nor assigns are responsible to offer any special accommodations for needs not expressly offered in written agreement. You further agree that instructional staff are not guaranteed to be equipped nor trained in any field to accommodate special needs, learning disorders, behavioral disorders, or any skills to serve individualized learning or educational plans. Finally, you agree expectations for such accommodations aforementioned are neither given nor implied.

Class Cost Breakdown*

We have various levels of courses: Basic courses ($17/month), Advanced courses ($22/month), and AP/Honors courses (starting at $26/month). Each of these varieties have a different cost per class. Below is an example of our Basic Course level.

Course prices and breakdown may vary.

** Some courses may cost more than others due to various factors such as course level, honors or AP designation, and the materials required for the class. Students and parents should be aware that these factors can affect the cost of a course and plan accordingly. Courses are divided over 8 monthly installments and cover up to 30 classes of instruction. Course costs must be paid up front before the month begins. First payment must include the first month's course payment plus 1 month deposit per class. Class transfer fees may apply after initial drop period.

Additionally, half-day courses may cost more than single-period courses due to the need for specialized instruction and resources within a shorter time frame. Teachers must plan and prepare for each class to ensure that students receive quality instruction and achieve their learning objectives in a shorter amount of time. As a result, half-day courses may require additional resources and teacher support, which can increase the cost of the course.

It is important for students and parents to carefully review course descriptions and associated costs before enrolling in any course, and to reach out to the school or program for clarification on any questions or concerns.

Cleaning Fee: $55 per family unit.
This fee will be broken out to pay the custodian ($150/month) and a few cleaning supplies for the co-op (~$20-30/mo) with the remainder being given to WSBC to offset additional supplementary cleaning and event services.

Since West Salem has NEVER CHARGED for the use of their facility (i.e. no rent, utilities, water, internet, or paper product fees; ONLY a nominal cleaning fee), there will be no facility or maintenance fees required. In order to respect your time and resources, we plan to offer regular lunches for a small charge with all proceeds going to West Salem Baptist Church as our love offering to them for such a generous gift.

Roanoke Salem Homeschool Academy is NOT a ministry of West Salem Baptist Church. While there is a close relationship between the leadership of both organizations, any statement from Roanoke Salem Homeschool Academy does not mean nor imply that West Salem Baptist endorses, agrees, or prescribes the view from RSHA leadership. The relationship between the two organizations is that of landlord (West Salem Baptist) and tenant (Roanoke Salem Homeschool Academy).
